EM-1 driver's side suspension damage... need help.
Well, I hit some sort of pot hole at the begining of the summer and just got the car back from the shop that was supposed to fix the damage and install some new stuff for me. They couldn't fix the damage. What could be damaged?

That last pic, where I circled that scratch, wasn't on my car before I took it to the shop I took it to.
I'm looking for an idea of what is damaged. I can get undercarriage pics if they are needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike.

I basically had the same problem as you. Camber was off, wheel was set back. All I did was switch out the lca and everything was a-ok.

New SPC (Special Product Company) control arms were installed and the wheel is still in the same position that it was to begin with!

Yeah, your front LCA is probably bent. Replace it. It is easy.

Thats ur prob right there. Same exact thing happened to me on my drivers side, pushed the assembly towards the back wall of the fender. We swapped it out for a new front lower control arm and its perfectly normal now.

That's odd... I wonder what two parts were installed in the front. I'll find pictures of it and post them up. Thanks for all the help!

Well I ordered the LCA from my local honda dealer and should have it to install this weekend. Did anybody hear a clunking noise when you had this damage? I hear this noise as I am slowing in first gear with my foot pressed slightly on the brake pedal. My brake pads are squeeky so I will be changing those out soon. Any idea of what this other sound is?

Take a close look at the inner lca-to-subframe mount....is it bent or does it look out of place? I tossed my old CRX into a curb a few years back. I thought the same thing (bent lca or steering knuckle) but infact the inner lca mount was out of place.
It fugged up the camber and caster as well.
On a CRX this mount is welded and bolted to the front subframe. It is replaceable but I decided to move on to another chassis instead of take my chances....hence the current 95 Civic.
I don't mean to bring up bad things, I just want to make awhere of something else to check out.

I took the driver's front wheel off to inspect and look for the bent control arm and took some undercarriage pics. However, I couldn't tell if anything was bent... I'll post up the pics later but it may be really hard to tell.
I had a problem getting the wheel off b/c the mechanics at the shop must of tightened the lug nuts with an air wrench... anyways they stripped 2/4 lug nuts on that wheel so I am going to have to get new lug nuts now...

I think the best thing to do is put it on a rack to see what's bend, and the clucking noise could be rust between the rotor and hub, a lot of the new civics (01-03) have that problem same as the crv and such, if you could remove the rust between the rotor and hub and service your brakes with M77 (from honda)

I'm an idiot... I had SPC's CAMBER KIT installed... not control arms.
GOOD NEWS: Just finished the LCA install and the wheel is now centered in the wheel well!
However, it still sits out a little at the top of the wheel. I'm guessing the alignment and camber adjustment will fix this? I will post pics after the alignment tomorrow.
I have heard three noises when I drove it earlier today before the LCA install. One is the 'clicking' that I previously talked about above. Another is 'squeeky' brakes. The last annoying noise is chattering when the clutch is depressed at idle. Could this last noise be from timing belts?
THANKS!!!
P.S. -the LCA install was great! It took 2 and a half hours... haven't had any problems just yet. LAST QUESTION: We didn't use a tq wrench to bolt up all the bolt b/c ours is too old and the measurements are probably off. So we used the breaking rod that we used to break the bolts to tighten them back up. Do I need to get these bolts to spec and if so does anyone know what the tq specs are?

ALIGNMENT done... here are the results...
Here are the alignment specs (Tell me if you cannot read it. I can post a better pic)
HERE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT LOOKED OUT OF PLACE BEFORE THE LCA INSTALL AND ALIGNMENT.

Bump.
My dad suggested that the new driver's front wheel (where the damage is) could be slightly different from the others. It could be a possibitly but I think not.
The new lug nuts I got stick out too far and I can't but the center cap on. They were only 98cents each so no need to return them.
Still need help on the questions above though so TTT.

If you really think it's the wheel, switch it with any of the other good ones on your car.
I'm stumped as to what's wrong with your car. The only thing that I can offer is take it somewhere to find out if your frame is fugged or replace the entire brake assembly. You could have bent the knuckle.
Does that camber kit replace the stock upper a-arm? I'm not familiar with what you need to do to install a camber kit. If not, then you might want to try and replace that also.
