Electrical problems on a del Sol
OK, I bought a 95 del Sol a couple weeks back, but when I got it, the head unit (Pioneer DEH-1500) didn't work, but everything else did. Well, they fixed it last night and said that when they replaced a fuse that it worked fine. It worked all last night, some of this morning, then as I'm driving down the road today, the stereo turns off, won't turn back on, and I smell smoke in the cabin. I am assuming that the fuse burnt out AGAIN (this is the second time this has happened).
But here's what really has me worried. My clock right below the tach on the dash doesn't even turn on anymore...the power door locks are not working half the time, and my driver side window rolls up and down really, really slow. So, this obviously did a lot more damage than I thought. What should I do? Is this head unit just not meant to be in the del Sol (I didn't put it in there, the previous owner did)? Or is my whole electrical system fucked?
