Re: ek window problem (StRacer)
i have that problem with my passenger side window and have just neglected to fix it. i don't know if the windows are setup the same as an ek. might try the ek/eg forum.

I have the same goddamn problem in one of my EK hatches. Its annoying as ****...basically the little rubber guide piece has folded over so when you get the window 70% up it hits the fold and pops out of the track slightly...then you get this nasty whistle at speed.
You can get around it (on my car anyway) but holding the window back (not towards the driver, but towards the back of the car) while you roll it up. You can get it to seal that way, but its still a pain.
It really sucks because the car is for sale now too so I either need to fix it ASAP.

Re: (AL ASPIRATED)
I to have the same problem, i have Lx so i have power windows but it does hte same thing. now the middle has folded over os it pops back on track, but if you slightly put hte window towards you on its way up, not hard but just a little it kept it on track.

Re: (hondaciv3)
i have the same problem what i did was i took the door panel out, carefully remove the plastic thing and adjusted it and if its off the track i just unscrewed something and pushed it back in. not hard to do. its just sucks that i jacked up the weather strip thing on my door panel. so when i installed it, it looks jacked up.

i had that same exact thing happen to the passenger window in my hatch. my girlfriend was rolling it up one day and it just stopped rolling about 3/4 of the way up. turned out it was completely off both rails, and when you'd roll it up it would hit the plastic mirror housing.
i talked to a honda mechanic and he said the EK years w/manual windows have been known to do that. there's one bolt that holds the window rail towards the rear of the door on the bottom that slowly vibrates loose over the years. so i fixed it and put loctite on that bolt.
