I bought a header for my 97 DX Coupe after taking off my stock one and finding out the hard way that it don't fit, it's hitting the bottom my transmission. I have a D16Y7 engine, are all B16 and D16 engines the same as far as header specs?????????

no a B series header will not fit on a D series. probably should of researched a little before you bought.

I't was stated in the auction that it would fit a 97 civic dx coupe with a 1.6 D16 engine, that what I get for getting it on ebay I guess

if you bought a header for a d16 it should fit your d16y7 no prob, they probably sent u the wrong thing.

i had the same problem.. but i was gonna redo the rest of my exhaust anyway so it didn't matter.

The bottom piece hit my trany and yeah they sent me the wrong one. it sucks because I had my stock one all off the engine, so I had to put it all back together again, talk about being pissed off
