i have a 97 dx and it came with nothing so i am guessing the 96 is the same, if you get a swap you will probably lose the power steering anyway.

Correction: 96-97 DX Hatches don't come with power steering. It is standard in 98+ DX. That said, some 96-97 CX and DX Hatches do come with power steering, as a dealer option.
