EK B20 vtec swap Question?
On Labor Day I purchased a 98 EK hatch shell for $495. I got it home with plans of pulling my B20 vtec out of my EJ and dropping it in the EK. First thing I did was get a solid mount kit knowing the EJ mounts where not going to work. I got a OBD2A to OBD1 ecu jumper so I could reuse my P28. I got a OBD2A wiring harness and obd2a pigtails for the distributor and alternator. Thinking I had everything I needed I started bolting all the mounts in the EK shell. When I got to the main Tranny mount I noticed that the Bracket was different from the EJ. I did some research and came to the conclusion that I need a 96-00 civic upper tranny bracket. The question now is " will the rest of the brackets that are coming off my EJ work or do I need other brackets?" Thanks in advance.
