depends on what header you have. Is it a Type R header, or any kind of aftermarket header that has a 2.5" collector?
you have to get a test pipe to match the collector size, or else it won't bolt up, and all hondas except the type r, have smaller collectors. So, buy the cat (or test pipe) for any '96-'00 civic but pay attention to the collector size. The actual length of the pipe will be the same for all the 6th gen civics.

alright well, what type of flanges are on the headers and b pipe. Some headers use a sphearacle (is that how you spell it?) flange and some use a 3 bolt flange.
i as tis problem with mt gsr. i had jdm 4-1 dc headers, magnaflow cat, and a tanabe super-hyper racing medilion. they didnt bolt up so i had the cat welded to the b pipe.

since i dont have a type R header i assume that the collector is 2.25 so i cant use a TYPE R cat. If i use a 2.25 test pipe would it fit correctly to the b-pipe since the b-pipe is made for a TYPE R?
