I have no idea what a suspenion is but I did try the suspension thread. However, since everyone in this thread has a 92-00 civic I figured they would have more knowledge about this. I have posted in both threads and gotten one single response. you.

I cant really speak with any knowledge on your issue regarding the springs, but in a word, yes, they will be noticeable stiffer. With your car as heavy as it is, nearly 100 pounds heavier than a stock gsr, they will in theory sit slightly lower, at those spring rates it shouldnt be more than 1/8th inch or so, but I dont know how exactly it will work in your situation. The 296/257 spring rates should still be very tolerable for street and daily driving.

The swaybar however, unless youre running incredibly stiff springs, will be very noticeable. The car will rotate more and stay much flatter and more stable in corners. With an ej8, the subframe where the sway bar attaches to is weak as hell, so any bar 19mm in diameter or larger should have subframe reinforcement, a Beaks or BSQ kit at a minimum or better an ASR or Comptech subframe brace.

And yes, try the suspension forum if you havent already, the various questions youre asking have all been covered in more or less detail afaik. Maybe not exactly but close.

Sorry my information is rather general home some helps

trust me, I searched for quite a while before posting. I figured the likelyhood of someone who owns a b-series swapped ej8, who had previously owned civic aftermarket springs and now owns integra aftermarket springs looking and responding to my thread would be incredibly higher in the civic forum than the suspension forum, but either way I got nothing so far in BOTH forums.

of couse with such specificity a search is going to come up empty, but some educated deducements, you can get an idea. comparing other springs with similar rates to the teg h-techs on a civic, the eibach sportline being about 20lb/inch more and the h&r sport being about 30 lb/inch or itr springs slightly softer front give or take and you have a basic answer. or find info on h-tech for other models. either way the h-techs for the teg are way stiffer rear than the ej8 ones so youre going to have less understeer, and flatter cornering from the higher rates.

but if youre looking for someone to come in with that exact same setup and describe every detail of it to you, sorry bro, t'aint gonna happen, good luck to you

I understand your generalization but seeing as I've been on H-T for a good 8 mo. I know how to search on here.

I can't make an educated deduction because I've only used one pair of springs in my life and I don't have any experience on spring rates and the quality of ride they give.

I'm not asking for anyone to come in with the exact same setups but the Internet's largest Honda forum should have more than 1 person who swapped from civic to integra springs, afterall it's on here that I learned that integra springs can work on civic's. I asked 3 specific questions that could be answered by anyone who has swapped springs in this manner.

Thanks for steering me to the suspension forum ( no, not really... ) but if it's been covered there ( I'm sure it has but 99% of searches end up with garbage ) before then oh please, give me the link.

yes illuminas are adjustable.

imo with an engine swap, i would go coil overs so you can adjsut to your specific needs.

im sure if you call and suspension place(omnipower, tein, ground control, blah blah blah) they could give you the best answer, im sure they have heard all the questions, and they know the most and will give you best correct answer, or give you the best spring rate to go with what kind of ride qualities your looking for...

yes, let me call a suspension place and have them sell me

a) whatever they get a kickback on

b) whatever they happen to carry

I'd like to find the perfect spring myself because If i trust a random individual then I get whatever they like or they get kickbacks on. A lot of reps won't steer you to another company even if they know that other company has what you really need.

I just want an answer from someone, anyone out there. I've heard the teg struts are longer. This would make sense since most teg springs are lower than the civic ones.

ex: Tein H-techs drop 1.5 on civics and 1.7 on tegs

I'd just like verification.
