EJ1 Intake (help finding right one)
Howdy everyone.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm looking at a new intake. I just recently bought an EJ1, 94 Honda Civic EX, D16Z6, with nearly 200k miles on it. It had some work done to it, but NOT GOOD work. One such example is the intake. Just a big silver tube and a filter that looked like it was a toliet filter. And it was held together by wood screws (as many other things held together on the car by wood screws, lol, replacing bit by bit). So I just want to get a new Cold Air Intake by K&N. I can't seem to find any that are painted red, like I have seen in some pics on other members pics. What I would like to find is a Cold Air Intake, K&N Typhoon series, Red. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one. K&N website only shows an all black 63 series. Thanks.

a tube is a tube is a tube.. no matter whos name is on it..
you can blow 200+ bucks on an aluminum tube with a name brand decal on it, or 30 bucks on a tube.
EDIT: Good luck with the wood screws.. I dont even want to know what some dumbass did with them.

waste of money as everyone will tell you its aluminum pipe. The only case when it matters is for nazifornia residents dealing with CARB/SMOG. a waste all the same a single cam.

Here's what will happen. You'll get one and it'll make the car louder and you'll be like YEA!! and then realize that you still aren't going anywhere and then a couple months later when you start knowing your way around your car/engine you'll want to smack a turbo in there. Then you'll be like ****......now I don't need this intake! DOUBLE WHAMMYYYYYY
