Hi,

I've been looking around trying to find a list of speaker dimensions for my car. The only thing I found was an approximate 4 1/4 ". I have a 95 CX and it only has 2 speakers in the front door. My 92 CX has 4 ( 2 in the front, 2 in the back ), what the hell happened with audio engineering ?

Could anyone point me towards the right size for the front speakers ? And also tell me if it's normal that I only have two of them ( speakers I mean ).

i have 6.5" in the doors of my EX so they would be the same. i had to cut the black plastic around the speaker though to make it fit.
and are you sure there aren't any back speakers? i thought some where behind the panels and some basically into the trunk area.

mine are 6 1/4 in the front i cut holes in the plastic panel by the rear passenger armrests for rear speakers 5 1/2 fit there

Well for the rear speakers I guess that it just doesn't come with it because there isn't even anything to hold them on to. The car never got into an accident either so hum, I guess that's it ? On my 92 CX, as you've said it's behind the panel next to the rear arm rest. But in my 95, it's empty, period.

Front and rear speakers are 6.5" round on all '92 - '95 civics (except the 4 rear speakers found in JDM civics, these are 5 1/4". The only 5th gen north american civic hatchbacks to get standard rear speakers were the '94 - '95 Si's. They were a dealer installed option on everything else, they were quite expensive and as a result most people never bothered getting them (I've seen one '93 CX that someone had the factory rear speakers installed.) You can buy the grilles (which are around $71.00CDN, if I remember correctly) and make your own brackets out of wood or metal.
