Default front speaker & rear speaker installation on a 95' civic coupe

well, as of right now, my front speakers are so crappy, and i have no rear speakers yet. i want to upgrade my door speakers but does anyone know what size i need for the door speakers? and can i just pop out the grill and change it from there? or do i need to take off the whole door? and what size can i use for the rear speakers? and if it's possible, can you guys tell me what brand would you guys prefer? thx sorry, this is my first car and i'm still learning

the backs are 6x9's. tweeters are what.. 2's? 3's? Ill go rip apart my car (some more hahah) and find out what the front speaker size is.

As for what system to get... up to you and your wallet. For top of the line, I would go with Diamond Audio or Eclipse. Infiniti's, JL audio would be my next two choices.

hth

when you find out those other stuff, and begin looking at speakers, be sure to check out Polk and Infinity, both great speaker makers.

I have Polk ex365s in my fronts and Polk dB690s in the rears and they rock so hard, even just running off the deck's power

the front doors are 6.5, well they are in my 94 i would think they are the same, you should take off the whole door which is really easy, but i just popped off the bottom of the door and did it that way, its really easy, hardest thing to to is taking the wires from the old speaker to the new one

my guess is that there are lil plastic clip like things holding it in. so push it up, or to the side and slide off at the same time

Does the 92-95 civics have a wiring harness that plugs into the door like the 96+ do? Just curious.

The fronts are 6.5" and yes, you have to take the door panels off, but they basically pop off after you pull a couple of screws. You might check crutchfield for the exact depth that's available. . . nothing worse than buying speakers with big magnets and not being able to roll your windows down all the way

FYI! THE REARS ARE NOT 6x9! 96-2000 Civic's are 6x9. The rears for 92-95 coupes are 6.5" just like the fronts. You'll have to pull a couple of screws on the underside of the rear deck, then the grills should pull off.

i basically have speakers for the rear, so i will have to cut the back panel off to put the speaker in

and anyone know how to take the door panel off? i just tried earlier, but couldn't, i only know of 2 screws that are holding the door together, the one near the front of the door and the one where you put your hand in.

If you get speakers with decent magnets, be prepared to cut the baskets so they fit.

by the leve to open has a philip. the front has a plastic philip. the elbow piece have a philip. after the get a flat and pop out the clip behind the roller. and then pull from the bottom on the panel to pop them clips out and voila.
