Default EG steering rack subframe in an EK?? **searched**

First I've done a search and after going through the same question in 100 different threads I decided it would be best just to ask.

So in saying that my question is will the subframe from an EG hatch (K frame... I think..) swap over to an EK hatch? I've been told it would without any issues at all. Reason I want to do this is the EK subframe is a big bulky one compared to the EG subframe.

Can anyone shed some light on this being done or even the weight differences of both??

Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance!

Yes you can do this, some k-series guys are doing this, for better weight distribution as the EG subframe (I think) and the right hasport mounts move the motor closer to the firewall

So if I do this it'll swap over fine, thats a start, now when I put my B-series into this shell (EK) will I just use the same mount for the back as I would in the EG or still the EK mount, I'm assuming the EG mount?

you'll use the eg mount instead. the eg sub frame just moves the rear mount back and makes more room for header clearance with a K motor. it doesn't move the engine any at all. just the rear mount postion. the rest use stock mounts and location.

if you runnning a single cam then you need one for a 92-95 single and same goes for bseries, you are going to need a 94-01 integra b series l bracket

That's good to know. Wondered why doing the rear motor mount is so much easier on my EK than on my Teg.

If you switch subframes, you have to use the rack that goes with the subframe too right? Sounds like an easy way to upgrade an EK to the faster integra racks.
