I have a problem with my Hatch's hatch window.

first off i'll lock the hatch window and it won't open, but my Trunk open light (err... HATCH open light ) stays on all the time. When i hit bumps and such it bangs and if i hit a bump hard enough or a pothole the hatch will actually open. It won't open up all the way but i'll pop open as if i had opened it. It's messed up, i tried swapping the locking mechanism with suprdave's and it still gave me the same problem. I can't figure out what's wrong with the ******* thing. Anyone have the same problem, or know of a solution?

have had similar problems in my 92 H/B the issue has always been the pc in the hatch glass. i've seem to be on my 3rd one oddly enough. haven't been able to understand it i've kinda repositioned the latch and it seem to be better but iv'e broken 2 of them stupid latch pc's.

Oh, so the bulb in the cluster is what's making the hatch pop open??

I'm not looking to do things half assed, where's the damn hammer icon??

buy a new locking mechanism because it seems like the one u have gets jammed
