EG or EK springs under EG2 del Sol
Hi,
I have a del Sol VTi (US VTEC) which I bought with Koni Sport shocks and Eibach Pro-Kit springs. I don't know how old my springs are but I assume they must be old/worn because my car sits so low that I can't even normally put my fingers between the front fender and the tire.
On good roads it handles amazing and the car is very stable, however, when I drive in the city I can barely go over speedbumps without scratching the resonator or destroying my mudflaps. Also when I'm driving down/out of the parking garage it even rubs my tires.
I was gonna buy coilovers and be done with this height issue but I realized it might be just a waste of money as I would not adjust them all the time and my Koni Sport shocks are very good.
So I have to replace my springs and it might sound silly but I would buy Eibach Pro-Kit springs again. I know they are good springs for spirited/daily driving. BUT Eibach made these springs for the Civics, either EG or EK, and not for del Sols. If I had the S model(then I would be sad because it's slow :D) then I would just buy the EG springs because the S is about the same weight as the 5gen Civic. However, the VTi (VTEC) is the heaviest of them all, it is 200 pounds heavier than the S model.!
Which springs should I go for? As far as I know EG and EK springs are the same size and either would fit my car. What do you suggest? Does anyone have a picture of an EG2 on Pro-Kit springs?
