ECU Throwing Code 19: Automatic transmission lockup control valve
What does that mean? My transmission's not even automatic! I'm completely lost. Any help appreciated.

Wow, I have the same problem. I hate it and I just ordered a P28 ECU chipped with Hondata S300 hoping it would fix the problem. Idk, bump this up so we can figure out what the hell is going on with this...

Re: ECU Throwing Code 19: Automatic transmission lockup control valve (JDM EJ2)
being chipped isnt going to help you you have to do a auto to man conversion inside the ecu ...kinda like chipping but not
im shure theres a writup somewhere if your down with soldering if not i reccomend having it done for you or finding a man ecu...dont just look at the sticker on the case look on the accual pcb so you know it wasnet just switched

No, what I did was I ordered a new ECU completely. I really didn't feel like going through all of the trouble of chipping it myself. My ECU code is 37820-P30-900. I don't know what that means, but I'm sure someone does...

Re: ECU Throwing Code 19: Automatic transmission lockup control valve (JDM EJ2)
If I recall correctly, p28 ecu's made for automatic transmissions are equipped with a resistor sitting underneath the ROM. I remember reading (a few years ago) that this resistor has to be removed and the nodes that connected it shorted in order to avoid Code 19 in a manual car.
Is this correct? If so, does anyone know the resistor that needs to be removed?
