***NEWSFLASH***

An automatic B series transmission is physically much larger than the Civic auto or even a B series manual tranny, and it will require CUTTING AND WELDING to make it fit into an EK engine bay!!!

You will need to custom fab topside and rear tranmission mounts/brackets, cut away material from the passenger side framerail to make clearance for the trans. bell housing (shitty to have to do and bordeline not safe) and worst of all, the electronics is a fuucking nightmare. There will be transmission codes no matter which ECU you try and use.

Besides the typical "autos suck ***" replaies I've actually got technical reasons why this swap is shitty to do.

Do a 5-speed or keep it D series and boost it.

Phearable.net is good stuff

They chipped/tuned my ECU and I felt the difference (haven't been able to put it on the dyno yet)

cause the motor is comming from Hmotorsonline.com and my weeks of research say otherwise. it is a jdmmotor comming out of a jdm automatic ek chassis. honda dealer say's it should fit aswell as many other motor shop's been doing research for 6weeks maybe i might have to mod the tranny mount but that should be it. and all of the mount's are 96-98spec bseries mounts.

They lowered their prices recently too, I just got my spare ECU chipped, waiting to finish my Mini-Me swap before I install it.

Okay either the Integra auto B series transmission is larger than the B16A auto trans, or the chassis/framerail on the JDM EK is different on the auto version to allow for more clearance of the larger tranny case.

I hope for your sake that you're right, but I have first-hand experience in that the Integra auto B series (which in theory should be the same size as an auto B16A tranny) did NOT fit into a 1998 EK civic that had an auto in it (D16Y7 with auto) without having to trim the freaking right side framerail, and two mounts/brackets had to be fabbed.

I hope so too.LOL but the motor that im getting is from Hmotorsonline.com and what there tech said since it is a JDM motor i would need to use the 96-98 spec mounts that come with the motor and it should fit fine. and that's also what honda said. But i know that with the wireing i will have to add some wires for vtec and etc.. but i just need to find out if i need to use a tcm but i dont think i will have to if i use eaither the p28 or jdm p30 ecu i cant remember at this time..lol i also asked hasport about the mounts aswell and from what they say i should be fine with what hmotors gives me. but with the size of the tranny's im pretty sure that the ek auto tranny's are the same size except for like gsr' b20's k's etc.. cause it is comming off a bigger motor plus only jdm motor's and canada's b16's GSR's etc.. came with an auto tranny.
