ECU manual to AUTO??

ECU manual to AUTO??
I know it can be done, EVERYONE gives me the site to go to that tells you how to do it, BUT its for an obd1, i need to know how to convert my MANUAL ecu to a AUTO, its for a 97 DX y7. anyone know how to do it for obd2?

on the site i found it says
USDM Manual to Auto:
remove jumper at RP18
add 4.7kOhm +/- 5% at RP18
add 2.7kOhm +/- 5% at RP17
add IC16 5050 S or equiv.
my problem with my OBD2 ecu is .....I CANT FIND RP17 , i see rp18, no 17. ANYWHERE.
am i over looking it?

you can't do it on a OBD2 ECU chief, you're SOL... besides manual to auto??? you will need a new ECU which should be pretty cheap from someone who swapped to a manny tranny

bump....on an obd2 ecu you cant make it from a manual to an automatic, BUT on an obd1 you can?!?!?! wtf...can anyone vouch for this who knows for sure? or any sites on it?
