on the site i found it says
USDM Manual to Auto:

remove jumper at RP18
add 4.7kOhm +/- 5% at RP18
add 2.7kOhm +/- 5% at RP17
add IC16 5050 S or equiv.

my problem with my OBD2 ecu is .....I CANT FIND RP17 , i see rp18, no 17. ANYWHERE.

am i over looking it?

you can't do it on a OBD2 ECU chief, you're SOL... besides manual to auto??? you will need a new ECU which should be pretty cheap from someone who swapped to a manny tranny
