Default ECU help...auto p75

well i swapped in a '00 LS motor in my 97 ex. got a obd2 p75 off of ebay and forgot to worry about whether it was auto or manual. i ended up plugging it in and i get a code 70 which is auto tranny related....FUUUCCKKK!!! i asked my local ecu chipper if it was possible to change this ecu to manual by doing internal mod to it. he said obd2 is a different ballgame and he was unsure.

so my question to HT ....is it possible to change this obd2 ecu from auto spec to manual spec by internal mods or am i screwed? also, if i keep this ecu for awhile, what probs will i encounter besides the code 70?? im breaking in a clutch and i cant get on it right now to find out my rev limit or anything

thanks in advance HT
