Default Ecu chipped

What would a chipped ecu do for me in my situation as my ecu is bad and i need another one , just wondering if i should get a chipped one or if its just a waste of money for my situation. Im running a 1.6 sohc vtec , gredy turbo 9psi, vafc, 440 rc, 270 pump, etc.. Or should i just get the regular ecu which i think i should.

I know you are asking about a chipped ecu. But something more adaptable to your setup might be better. Its a bit more.... but i'd say look at hondata for your boost setup.

yes i realize this, as ive explored the stand alone systems, but ive been sticking away a bit from my car and im flying rc helicopters now which take a lot of $$$, on top of that i live on maui and they dont program hondata here . They do aem but im just not about to spend money for it at this time. I have a bad ecu im just asking because its only like 25 dollars more for a chip but to me i think the chip wouldnt do squat so im just askin for opinions.

Well you could get a better fuel map for certain setups, I'd email someone like Kenji and see if he has anything that would work for your specific setup.

you can defiantly benefit from properly setup chip. but there isn't anything around that isn't custom or requires at least the VAFC/SAFC hack.
