Ebrake light stays on
I just put 2000 GSR brakes on to the front of my del sol. Switched out the master cylinder with a 1991 honda civic EX unit which is a 15/16 cylinder. I'm still waiting for my ebrake cables so I can do my rears. When I went to start driving it I noticed that my ebrake warning light is on all the time even when the ebrake is down. I didn't even touch the rear brakes or ebrake when doing the fronts and was just wondering why my ebrake light would be permanetly on now?

Re: Ebrake light stays on (BlueIntegraBoy)
alright i figured it had to be something with that....why does that effect the ebrake cable light though? I mean I thought the ebrake was all manual and the light was controlled by a switch near the lever or something? Im just curious

my civic did that after some suspension work. car was jacked up and read low fluid.
All wires were fine, fluid was fine, blah blah i just reset the ecu by dis the batter for 15 minutes. worked for my civic. and light goes out when i release the ebrake and comes on when i engage it.

Re: Ebrake light stays on (dohcdelsol)
So the ebrake light isn't just for the ebrake...it is also a warning light for low brake fluid. Interesting...thanks guys
