Are the EBAY exhausts any good?
Hey guys. My exhaust is pretty beat up and old, and I have been wanting to replace it with something a bit bigger and newer. Ive been looking at the basic ebay kits that bolt on but with them being between $150-$250 I thought Id ask and see if anyone else has done it and if its a good idea.
Im gonna be replacing the muffler regardless once I put a new exhaust in, I cant stand the sound of the "fart can" and will be putting in a twin loop muffler.
Thanks!

it's steel piping pretty hard to mess up, replace the resonator too that and the muffler are absolute ****. But in reality an exhaust shop could weld you up an entire one for the same cost. Why cheap out tho if you want bolt up they range from 230-700$ there's some good ones for 250$ like the K-Teller ones just weld it up and go I have one of their 3'' on my DC2.

I'll never buy a ebay exhaust ever again. Bought one for my CRX and it was total crap. Muffler sounded like it had loose metal in it. Ended up bolting on a FlowMaster axle back muffler and it sounded a lot better.
Last week I had a local shop build me a 2.5" downpipe back exhaust with a resonator to get rid of the rasp for $270 with all the hangers and flanges for my 94 civic. Perfect fit and looks stock.

If you do go for a no name from ebay or amazon etc, be sure to take a good look at the welds.
Some of the fart cans use folded metal and cheap welds while others do a solid MIG/TIG weld setup.
Quality varies for that price point, so it is a crap shoot usually.

For that price range you can pick up a Yonaka Cat back exhaust... but for the full system expect to pay around 500$ as an FYI....
But as others have said.. be wary of any Ebay exhaust. You definitely get what you pay for.
