E-brake help

Default E-brake help

i have a 93 civic - with a grey e-brake handle - i want to install a black one - How do u take it off - i have had no luck taking it off

is there a special way to take it off ??

anyone know how to

Try disconnecting the brake lines. Should come out pretty easy.

you just want to replace the handle?

just give that handle a good pull and twist. you might need to put a small flat head screw driver on the back to help get it loose.

yeah i just want replace the handle- it is being a bitch to gett off - i tried twisting it and prying with screw driver

i used two hammers and hammered it off with one acting as an extended base and the other to tap the e-brake handle off. worked for me in 30 seconds.

HAcksaw and Caution is all you need. Good way to vent frustration as well.
