Drum Brake Backing Plate Removal/Install - DIY Help
So my friend and I are overhauling his back brakes on his '93 civic VX.
We want to put on new shoes and harware, new cylinders, new drums, and new backing plates.
This last item I'm a little worried about. Is it hard to remove?
If we replace the backing plate - should be might as well replace the wheel bearings?
We had the wheel off and it seems like the spindles didn't want to turn freely very much. How much spin should they have? IF you flick it to spin it, it only turns about 1/2 way around (no ebrake on).
Thank you!
