Driver Outside Door Handle... Metal Bracket
Replacing broken outside door handle on my 2000 Ex and ran into a metal bracket that covers about half of the backside of the handle from inside the door. There is a round piece on the back that appears to hold that metal bracket in place. I cant seem to get that round "clip" off so that I can get the bracket off. I tried to pry it off with a screw driver and broke a small piece of that clip off. It looks like it may be attatched to the end of the door lock cylinder...
Any advice on how to get this off without breaking something else???
Thanks!

Re: Driver Outside Door Handle... Metal Bracket
When you're ready to put the clip back in, make sure the lock cylinder is pushed fully toward the handle.
The clip should pop back in with very little resistance. If you force it, you'll bend the clip.
I struggled with this for a good hour and mutilated the first clip trying to get this all back together.
