See attached, what part do I need to replace to fix this? Is this going to require for me to have a new key? Thanks.

Your going to have to have your Door Lock Cylinder replaced. You will not need a new key made, but you will need the new cylinder to be made to work with your existing key. Honda should be able to do this for you, but it will cost you extra.

I just did this on my car. Since your lock mechanism is still there its not bad at all. You need to remove your door panel. If you have power windows, make sure your window is rolled up. Once panel is off you will see the back side of the mechanism. Mine was missing so i cant give you advice on removing it, but as long as you dont break the rod, youll be fine. There are two tabs on the side of the lock core that you should look at before you try to remove the old one that you can see hold the core into place. Once you get the old one out, slide the rod into the lock FIRST. then if you put the rod and lock all the way towards the back of the door, and have a friend hold your door handle open. This moves one of the rods out of your way so that you are able to slide the core into the door. Make sure its facing the right way when you click the core into place. To check, lock door from inside with door open, and see if key opens from outside. Once you are done. Enjoy!

The core cost $38.00 and Honda had to order it for me. It came with 2 new keys. If you want to have it match all of your other keys, you have to give them VIN and copy of title i believe and some other info, it will also then take a little more time for them to make the key to match your existing.

Good luck....
