they are all the swap amount of work but the vtec swaps will be a little bit more as you will have to wire in vtec.
b20s are really cheep and so are ls
if your looking at a b16 some say its a waste but i dont really agree. look into gsrs also

LS Vtec
Somebody told me that you can get them for less than $1000
But for a complete swap, check http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000...USDM%20Engines

WHATEVER YOU FIND AROUND B16 ARE ALRIGHT BUT MIGHT AS WELL GO LSVTEC OR B20 VTEC IF YOUR GOING VTEC AT ALL. IF NOT GO WITH A LS MOTOR OR B20.

How is a B16 a waste? Have you seen the possible power output those engines have? And if there such a waste then why does Spoon sports use them to make their race engines?

Re: Info needed about a B Series Swap
^^^^ where did you see spoon motor sports use a b16 as there race engine?
they have a production line based on the itr, gsr, ctr block(yes they all share the same block except for your ordinary b16)with a variety of a 1.6 & 1.8lt motors but Iam still not aware of one b16 spoon has ever even touched!
the b16b out of the ctr is not your ordinary b16 and shares maybe 10% of the same parts off the normal b16's and it aint cheap anyway not to mention spoon didnt even use the b16b as there race engine either, the only engine I saw them use is there b18c-r,they even have a video of it with bestmotoring on youtube(spoon eg vs ctr)
and the b16 is IMO just a total waste, unlike you have stated it serves the least potential when compared to any other b-series! first of all its already vtec, its already using high comp,a good set of cams etc you would be lucky to spend the same amount of money as the motor in parts to get an extra 25whp! whereas you can just convert a b20 into a b20vtec and gain wayyy more than that for wayyy less and have more tq which = better mpg, better 1/4 mile times etc!

Like I said before SPOON SPORTS does use b16s weather it a b16a or b they still use that series of engines. And you can boost them also.
