driveaxle/transmission problem - did i fuxor something up?
91 civic hatch with jdm b16a, transmission is geared really short and uses parts extremely similar to 00 si tranny. don't want to say exact because i haven't tried everything.
have searched archived content and read most of the threads...
installing new driverside cv axle cuz one of the bearings in the old one cracked, putting new one in...we had to hammer it in (with a block inbetween the axle and hammer, of course) and it seemed seated. we turned it on, put it in reverse, and there was a short grinding and now none of the gears will engage. when it's in gear, you can totally let off the clutch and nothing will happen. in reverse it will make a quiet grinding noise. we took out the axle, inspected the cv splines, removed a little of the grease, and it popped in with the plunger motion a lot easier...however, when we turn it, it feels like it's rubbing something stripped. what happened? any help always appreciated.

i had the same problem last time.....
the problem with mine was the...clutch and the flywheel...i had to change it...the clutch got messed up and damaged the fluwheel..
i dont think the axles aint got nothing to do with the shifting...
check your clutch system...
even if the gear axles are messed up, it should shift fine...
can u put it on gear when the engine is off???

Re: (ARMED)
UPDATE!
alright so we got the axle seated, raised the front wheels, turned on the engine and let the clutch down a little in first...right wheel and left axle (hub and wheel removed) spun. so we're like expletive YEAH, we put everything back together, and the same thing happened. we can put it in gear when the engine is on or off, but we can drop the clutch in any gear and it doesn't move.
what happened with your flywheel? was it real tore up?
