Downtown Seattle/BainbridgeIsland/Poulsbo/Kitsap tuners/skilled amateurs
I 've been planning an engine swap for my '93 dx hatch for a while, looking for a good deal on a B18 series engine.
I finally found a b18c1 for $6500. That probably seems like a lot, until you realize that it runs like a top and comes attached to a '94 si hatch with everything listed in my sig. (below) and more!
Anyway, I'm looking for someone in the Poulsbo/Bainbridge Island/ Seattle ferries area that can help with the engine/suspension swap and final tuning details. (The '94 is almost definitely not streetable).
I'll also have some leftovers that I'll part with cheap if anyone's interested.

When are you doing this swap? I might be up for helping with the swap if I could be counted in for some of the parts? I'm just north of Seattle.

Re: Downtown Seattle/BainbridgeIsland/Poulsbo/Kitsap tuners/skilled amateurs (Evs-One)
Hey all,
Thanks for responding. I think the following link will help answer a lot of questions.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...13229
I put in a low bid right after it was listed, and a week later I'm facing my wife going "Um, yea, well, so, ah, you know, gee, so, um, guess what?" (she SO cool!)
Anyway, the si is total stripped for weight. If I wanted to make it at least marginally comfortable for street driving (stereo, carpet, etc), it seems like it would be way more work than swapping out engine and suspension parts (I mean dude, the driver and passenger "windows" are nets!)
As far as "leftovers", aside from the classic D15B7 powerplant I don't think I'll keep the Sparco seat and harness; the fire suspression system; the two spare Konig wheels with mounted Toyos; possibly the four Rota Sub-Zeros (17" X 7.5"); the cage might be of some use to somebody, and I'm sure there will be other misc. stuff.
Let me know what you think.
