Dome light dimly flashing ~ 75 Hz, Keyless entry FUBAR'd, 1997 HX
OK, gents it was around 10 degrees F here in the north coast this last weekend, and I went out to my ol' trusty '97 HX and the dome light was very dimly flashing at about 75 Hz and the keyless entry was not operational. When I got around to getting into the car because the locks were frozen, it had warmed up about 15 degrees.
I put a new battery in my keyfob for good luck, and reset it's code into the radio. Well everything is working normally today. I am on a business trip about 300 miles from home in the frigid north with my 200K mile civic, and don't necessarily want to be stranded with a dead battery.
Now my question, is the flashing dome light a sign of imminent keyless entry failure, or some secret error code the manuals do not list?
I have searched the forums for info. Any insight appreciated.
