dome light...
hmmmm, well i replaced the fuse and installed a new bulb and my dome light still does not work... is there a chance that maybe the unit itself has gone bad or is this impossible..?? i havent taken it down yet but im thinking it got so hot maybe it desoldered its OEM connections or something..???? im clueless as of yet, any ideas..??

Re: dome light... (JDM_SOHC)
did u test it? with a dmm?
see if any voltage is coming through the bulb terminals in on/door
if not, take it down, and see if any voltage is going to it at all... at the harness..
etc..

Re: (JDM_SOHC)
i checked the fuse an it was good, would it matter if its a 10amp fuse and not a 7.5amp fuse..?? i dont have any spare 7.5's, and the 10 thats in there has a lead coming out of it to my alarms warning light so i kno its getting power... changed bulbs again an still doesnt work but above the bulb area on the dome light its all burnt an ****... anyone experience this..??

Fuse amperage isn't the issue unless it blows immediately, then you would have other issues.
What you're describing in the bub area is normal for older cars.
My vote is the door switch.

door closed = open switch
door open = closed switch
switch grounds one side of the bulb (other side of bulb is 12V)
pull back the rubber cover on the switch, remove screw, pull switch out of door jam till you can see the wire connected to it. bump wire to chassis.
If light turns on then the switch is your problem. If it doesn't, reinstall the switch and look elsewhere.
