Does oil expire?
alright guys i have a quart of oil in my closet and i did a oilchange yesterday and i might need to ad just a tad more.
so my question is if i have a bottle of oil that has been sitting in my closet for a 1/2 a year maybe same kind that i put in my motor when i did the oil change, would it be safe to ad that bottle to my car?

I agree. It will be fine. The only time I would be weary is if its been somewhere thats not climate controlled where it could possibly pickup moisture but if its been in your closet I don't see that being an issue.
