yeah, wow, i don't usually make a big deal about this like most of the crybabies around here, but theres a sticky at the top of this forum about this, seriously man, just try a little. what the hell is a b18c4, and what the hell is a civic 5 door hatch. i don't think you know what you're talking about, but b18's pretty much fit in any civic

The irony is you didnt bother to glance at his location and see that he is from Wales, UK. Seriously man, just try a little.
Over in Europe they have a civic 5 door hatch, and it comes with a b18c() - I can't verify if the 4 is correct, but I would trust it would be. Same as the jdm B18C is the usdm b18c5.
To answer the question at hand, the b18 swap will go into the EG car. You are most likely going to need special mounts because you are swaping from 2 different chasis.
You will most likely find that the harnesses are different. Does the UK have OBD? if so this will be an issue as well. I know nothing about UK wiring setups so you would have to look further into ECUs and plugging.
good luck, and share what you find out.

It's a direct bolt in. All you need is the OBD wiring harness conversion and you're all set.

EK to EG chasis are bolt on affairs? I know DC to EG is, but DC to EK is not - you need to mix mounts.

I'm assuming that the architecture of the 5-door hatch is the same as the EK and not the DC. EK to EG requires like two mounts to be mixed, so I guess you're right in that he might have to play mix and match, but what I meant (unclearly...my bad ) was that he wouldn't need any kind of aftermarket parts or any cutting and welding to make it fit.
