Re: Does anybody know about rolling wheel wells?? (GM Killer)
my rubbing wasn't severe enough to actually have to roll the fender. There's a lip on the inside of the fender that's about a 1/2" wide, that's probably what's making contact. I simply rolled that back and the problem was solved but the fenders have no noticeable flare to them.
I'd recommend you try and find somebody with a fender roller. Even if you have to rent it, it's well worth it. It allows you to make incremental advances on the roller so that (a) you get a consistent roll (b) you don't crack the paint. Be sure to heat the edge of the fender as well to prevent cracking. Very simple to use, no training or technique needed.

fug that use a baseball bat. stick it between the fender and the tire and roll the bat along. you will see how you need to hold it to get the best results. free and easy just be careful and pull the rubber stip off then put it back on when your are done.

if you've got a gap between your fender and tire big enough to fit a baseball bat into, why would you need to roll the fenders?

sorry, i'm in a smartass mood I guess. I did the lips on my hatch. What I did was remove the stupid little rubber moulding (what causes rust!), throw it out. Then use a die grinder to cut away the excess metal from the lip. File the edge smooth. Then seal and paint the edge to prevent rust. This was for the rear. For the front, I just bent the little tabs that hold on the inner fender housing(that big black plasic liner). Can't tell anything has been done. Good luck!

hey i just rolled my fenders last sunday. i used the base ball bat. it worked really well just be carefull. you might want to heat the paint i didnt and the paint cracked. if your car is really low use both ends of the bat. the little part works well.

rolling the well.....
making the wheel well wider.
to either have more room for a drop/bigger rims.
prevent scraping the tires on the inside of the tire.
heres an example...sorry they are vw's [commonly done by vw's] dont flame on these cars either. im not posting them for ur aesthetic opinions, just for instruction.
