do I neede a new engine? or just fix the one I have?
I have a 95 civic ex 1.6L vtec. there is a lot of noise comming from the crankshaft on the end of the drive pullys. I replaced the alternator thinking it was that but it is still there. It sounds like it would be bearings going out on that side. Sound right? it just started a couple days ago when we got some really hot and humid weather. how much do you think it would cost to have fixed or new engine? am at a loss

unless you do it yourself the fix would be rather expensive you could pick up another decent d16z6 for a cheap price

just swap the d16 with another make it simple and clean and do go through all that crap of changing engine mounts. Unless of course you wanna spend the money. At least you know the d16 swap would be easy.
