do i need a new clutch?
waddup,
my car is bone stock except lowered with rims. the past two days my clutch has been acting funny. i have to press the clutch all the way down and i have very little room for the catch point to put it in gear. for example, it used to be that i could lift my foot up anywhere from 1 - 3 inches after i held down the clutch and switch gears, now it seems like i have 1 CM of space to switch gears. also, yeserday and today morning i could not get it into gear for about 15 minutes. i'm guesing i have to get a new clutch?
wtf is goin on?
thanks for the help.

it might be time for a new clutch since its not catching...
or did you try bleeding your clutch yet, maybe there's just not enough pressure? are there any grinds at all while you're trying to get it into gear

Does'nt sound like it's time for a clutch replacement. Actually sounds more like synchros or a lack or pressure rather than a new clutch. Check the master cylinder and slave cylinder!!!

Re: do i need a new clutch? (Ricey McRicerton)
thanks for the info guys but still not sure on what to do or look for. the gears were grinding in the morning when i forced it into gear so i just waited and tried putting it into gear again and again without putting all of my force so it wouldn't grind and finally it popped in after about 15 minutes.
what is 'bleeding' my clutch? and what would i look for in the master cylinder and the slave cylinder?
thanks.
