Optimal Temperature for Radiator Fan To Come on at?
I am getting a fan switch relayed into my ECU so I will be able to set the optimal temperature the radiator fan should turn on at.
Right now, the fan switch is running of the factory thermoswitch..
What temperature would the factory thermoswitch be coming on at 92c (192f)
My fan turns on at approx 92c.. and goes up to 95c when driving hard
Theoretically speaking, If i have the radiator fans turn on at 83c (181f) would my temps stay in the low to mid 80s?
Will the fan turning on at 82 or 83c deg, would this not keep my water temp around 85 or so?
Tried to make that as not confusing as possible.
Car is boosted and running 14psi

On at 200 off at 185 sounds good, usually the temp will go up some once it kicks on so catching it ahead of time and bring it down. Keeping it balanced at around 195 is prime as engine works in its prime warm. SPAL sells single wire fan switches at various temps (universal) that just ground out at a given temp so you can dial it in. Ill be adding those to our online store soon.
