DIY Intake vs. Ebay Intake? Which is better?
Just wondering what the general consensus is. Are the ebay intakes that bad or are they nowadays just as good as a DIY intake made from one 180 degree mandrel bend pipe?

most aftermarket intakes are made from lightweight aluminum piping mandrel bent. Aluminum will keep the air charge significantly lower then the piping u would use for the DIY (which i assume to be exhaust piping, crimp bent at the muffler shop) Trust me, back in my high school ricer days, i did the DIY intake, when i had enough $$ to buy a real one it made the greatest difference. Generic intakes are so cheap on ebay now, u can probably get one for like $20
