Difference between 1st gen ASR brace and their revised one?
Guys,
I might be buying this ASR brace for my '93 Hatch:
It's been sold as a "display model" with all hardware, never installed for $140 shipped.
I want a black one, but my buddy can powdercoat it for me for like $10, so I am not worried about the colour.
The problem is, the guy mentioned it's a "1st generation" ASR brace and said that they have a new, revised design out now.
My questions are... how do I ensure this is for the 92-95 Civic and should I spend the extra $40-50 bucks to get a newer generation factory black?
Thanks for your input!

Well... ASR Support replied pretty quickly:

Secondly, there are several differences between the first generation and the current design. The old design used longer bolts for the lower control arm (LCA) and the sub spacer behind the brace is attached using a roll pin. The current design uses the OEM LCA bolt and the sub spacers are attached by socket screws. Also, there’s a batch number machined on the front of the brace.
I hope this answered your question. Let us know if you are ready to make your ASR suspension upgrade.

Ok... for the sake of information... turned out this brace is a fake.
Thankfully I found out before pulling the trigger.

so if the oem bolts are used and go straight through it will no longer function as a tie bar as well... only a swaybar reinforcement
