code 41 oxygen sensor?....still running 5 wire o2 problem?
I'm having this CEL code. I think my connection on my plug is a little crappy, but maybe my o2 sensor itself is starting to go bad?
Also, I have a Y8 engine in the car with the obd1 harness running it on obd1....Do I need to actually convert to the 4 wire o2 sensor, or can I just run the five fire from the obd1 engine I pulled out?....I still have my four wire o2 sensor, actually I have two of them lol one is just working as a plug for the sencondary hole since I don't have a plug on my header pipe. This could be a potential problem too huh?.......
Oh, and I'm not even sure how to do the 5 wire to 4 wire conversion, I would need to lookup a thread on that or something too >.<
ugh friggin wiring nightmare

I have a 93 EG hatch, with a D16Y8 engine running a P28 ecu. It runs and drives, but obviously without a working o2 sensor it runs like absolute crap
Oh, and code 41 is the ONLY code I have left, every other sensor and nonsense should be all wired up and ready to go >.<
I saw that VTECVILLIAN had a 5 wire to 4 wire conversion for a VX, and it was pretty good, I was just wondering which wire I need to wire the second signal wire to? He said just any 12+v ecu switched power source would work fine.....IE: injector wires......iono I'll probably figure it out on my own one way or another, I've gotten all this way with very little help >.<

i have my own diagram here let me try to find it! all you need to do (my version of course) is swap 2 wires at the ecu and 2 at the o2 disconnect. although i did use a bunch of info from different places i just simplified it!

I wired up a four wire 02 I just bought it brand new -_-
but no more codes, just had to advance the timing a little and we're in business!
Thanks for all your help guys!

omfg lol......codes, codes, and more codes!
After about fifteen to twenty mins of driving, it throws a CEL, and runs a little bit more sluggish than normal.
I jumped the connectors and I get code 1 for the primary oxygen sensor?......
Perhaps I wired up the black wires backwards? as in, I have them criss crossed on a6 and a25 or whatever, maybe I should just jump it over to b1 instead?...lol I dunno...it runs okay but I would like it to be all the way finished, I'm kind of a perfectionist I guess...
