Default Diff. Clusters (other than s2k) into an EG, EK, EH etc.. BIG THREAD

I wanna start a thread on diff. clusters swapped into an EG, or EK, etc..
other than the GSR's and s2k's that everyones crazy about.

Heres obviously the newest Civic clusters
just wondering if their run off of a Digital signal?

ok lets ignore the problem of mounting it right now cuz it would be tricky and prolly need fiberglass
but would it be able to wire in, by reading the wiring diagram and simply soldering it over to an EG, or so on.

NEXT:
the Accord speedometer

same question
yes mounting would be a bit easier but still tricky
but main question is would it work if u were just to wire it in.

NEXT:
the neat Insight cluster

same question follows here
does this one run the same way as an s2k, from a digital VSS?

NEXT:
the sexy NSX speedo

it may be just needles and no digital read out
but its HOT, and would prolly be tricky to find
but same questions

anyways
id like this thread to be a discussion on this
and im sure people would like to know
feel free to discuss opinions
and if i forgot and nice speedometers that can be swapped in, post em'

please no flaming

if you can pull it off, all the props to you. but if you're just posting how neat it would be for someone else to figure out how to do it then nobody is going to give a ****.

i love the new tachs though

pic the one with the largest tach. Which would be the NSX. That's all fine and dandy, but you're going to have a hard time finding one of those. I think the new accord/oddyesysyse however the F you spell it would be a very feasible cluster to get your hands on. But then again they don't go very high.

You might want to see how the k-series guys are wiring in the ep3 clusters and the dc5 clusters. this might give you a few pointers on how it's done.

thanks Bense,
i know your a transmission guru
do all the new hondas run off a digital VSS?
or just the s2k, cuz if they do
then this is pointless, unless i get a convertor

S2k and 05+ RSX run off digi VSS. I would think honda would start switching all of the new cars over as well, esp if they are all starting to come out with digital clusters

Also, if you want to run a RSX cluster in a eg, with the eg gas tank the gauge will be off about 1/8th of a tank. however with a RSX gas tank in a eg the gauge works fine

From what I know, the speedo and temp gauges are digital, which means you would need to use the ECU or some sort of "converter" box to alter the signal. I've heard of this being done with S2000 clusters, but I have never seen a working (completely) version.

the one dislike i have about the new civic speedmeters is its a two piece setup.
yes i know the speedometer gauge is closer up and closer to your view of the road which is "safer" or whatever
but i think they should done both tach and speedo in the same cluster

i found out by a friend who has lots of experience with the new hondas, that all of the new ones run off a digital VSS.
i guess its true, it may be wrong, but if its true, i guess id need the convertor
