delsol wont start
Never had a problem with it starting before. When i turn on the car, the fuel pump primes, but when i go to crank it the starter doesnt even try to start it, and the lights in the cluster go dim (gounding somewhere?) . I jumped the starter signal directly from the battery and it fired right up (so its def. not the starter or battery)...starter just isnt getting the signal for ignition.
looking at the wiring diagram...
1) the clutch switch isnt working
2) starter cut relay isnt working
3) OR i have a short or loose connection
my question is where does the BLUE/RED wire turn into the BLACK/WHITE wire?
UNDERHOOD FUSES
Is that a 39 and 41? batter and IG? (is that ignition?)

Inspect the clutch interlock switch located at the top of the clutch pedal. This is a common problem. If it visually looks fine, then unplug the 2P connector, and install a jumper wire across the two terminals of the free connector. Put the transmission in neutral and then see whether the starter now cranks the engine.

Re: delsol wont start
Nope that didnt work Ron. I jumped the plug with a paper clip and it didnt start. Paper clip has continuity with ground too....so that rules out the ground too (i think).Whats the next step?
take out relay and put 12 volts across black/white and blue/black &
Check for continuity between blue/white and black/red?
God i dont hope this isn't a wiring issue

Re: delsol wont start
You may have a bad ignition switch. What year? I suspect that you will discover continuity problems in the ON(III) position.

Re: delsol wont start
Found that in another delsol thread although it looks to be for an EK https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/another-no-start-del-sol-2646489/. Mine looks to be in a different location but has the same color wires...blk/wht, blu/blk, another blk/wht, and blk/red. The wiring diagram in my first post has different color wires.
the first diagram shows blue/black wire going to the clutch switch BUT with the clutch switched jumped (grounded) there is no continuity with ground... However, the BLK/RED wire shows continuity with ground with AND without the clutch switch plug jumped...
IM lost cause the wire colors dont match up.

Yeah, I posted that diagram. It's for an EG Civic.
Unplug the starter switch connector at the top of the clutch pedal and test for battery voltage to body ground at the connector terminal for the Blu/Blk wire when the key is turned to ON(III). Also check the connector terminal for the Blk wire for continuity to body ground (though your continuity test with the paper clip installed in the connector may indicate that the Blk ground wire is fine).

Re: delsol wont start
Had the same issue not long ago. The solenoid would pop but wouldn't turn. It ended up being no sufficient ground on the starter. I took the jumping cables and grounded the starter to the chassis. The car starter with no hesitation. Hope that helps.
