Default decisions , decisions, decisions .

the time is coming for me to make the choice again. i have finally saved up enough money for coilovers (again). the question i have is should i just say F the coilovers and wait until i get 850 dollars more and buy a swap. I am a college student and it takes me a while to save up. I have paid of my insurance until march. what would you do if you were me . i just need a little insight. also i have a very slow 94 lx 4 door

SWAP IT!!! Fowler recently asked this and you will be able to see everyone's opinion and reason behind it if you search for his post.

Hrm... well, I'm not a fan of sedans. They're fugly IMHO. So, if it was me, I would try to make my ride look better. I'd go with the coil-overs. You can get a set of Tokico Illumina coil-overs for under 800 bones. That's what I would do...

If you're autocrossing your car (which I can tell you're not...and probably won't) get the coilovers. If you drive it on the street and maybe take it to the dragstrip once in a while, you'll benefit much more from any kind of swap. A stock car with nice suspension tempts you to be stupid in corners: something which you shouldn't do without training. A swap gets you from point A to point B faster and keeps you from being embarassed in a straight line. Much safer, in my opinion, and more user friendly for the average Joe who wants a "nice" Honda .

Your LX isn't that bad of a project car. Sure it's a 4 door, but it weights just over 2400lbs in stock form. Like everyone else said swap and enjoy when the next person realizes he just got owned by a 4 door.

Save up for the swap. I bought my hatch and the first thing I did was swap out the motor. The car is still at stock height and looks like a 4x4 but who cares. Plus thieves don't look at it as much since it looks like a stock dx hatchback.
