i cleaned the engine bay good with some degreaser i got at autozone. wiped off the excess water/moisture and slammed the hood to let her dry. came back out after about ten minutes and it wasn't running. I tried to restart and it barely idles with my foot on the gas. its fucked, i should have left it dirty. =/
i have been having overheating issues lately as well. i guess it was a matter of time.
she was my 100+ miles a day ride to work. i'm screwed.

i dont think you killed your engine with water and degreaser unless you were spraying it in your intake.

check to see if there is water in the spark plug tubes, check your plugs, check your cap and rotor (i have seen water in a dist. cap), was it running while you were washing it?

once it drys it will be ok
I can't believe you would be capable of replacing the motor if you think getting the **** wet then it running like crap means you need a new motor
