D16z6 or Turbo
i know this might seem stupid question, but i can go ahead and do a mini me swap now (currently have d15b7) but is it really worth it, or should invest money on building up d15b7. Would certain internals bring out the same HP numbers as a d16z6 or no?
What type of internals if so and other things besides a d16z6 head
Im going to boost either one, but should i just save money and invest in the d15b7?

you really could go with either option it all depends on how much horse power you are looking for... and since your going to boost you might not need to do the engine swap

It's not a question of PSI, its a question of power. Apparently the D15B7 is good to about 170 WHP, so that could be like 10 psi on a T25 or 6 pounds on a T3.

Re: D16z6 or Turbo (McGeeTM)
u can do a full b16 swap for 2500 or so after its all said and done... i would suggest doing that that would be like turboing ur current motor... i mean 160 from what 90 lol id do that if i was u just save ur money and get a new motor

Re: D16z6 or Turbo (JUST2SPOOL)
yea 160 whp but what maybe 116 foot pounds of torque. thats not that much more than a d16 when you could swap a d16z6 and have a homemade turbo kit for the z6 at the cost of a completely stock b16 and the numbers on the z6 would kill the b16 so dont keep bragging the extra 10 foot pounds of torque and 30 hp when a d-series turbo for much cheaper can be accomplished.
