d16z6 question
i need a engine fo my 98 civic ex a friend of mine has a d16z6 i can have for nothing will it work in my car it looks the same .... i have searched no luck

Since you searched, what information have you found about each engine and set-up, that could contribute to the overall answer that you need?

the big problem lies in the fact that the car you have is OBDII and the d16z6 is OBDI. I believe this only really means that you'll need to get a conversion harness (about $100-150), an ecu for the d16z6 (obdI), and I'm pretty positive that other than a distributor for the z6, that should be about it....maybe some minor wiring tweaks. Do not know about the header issue - but my understanding is all d series headers fit the other.
