Default D16Z6 Leaking oil

I'm still a noob when it comes to car's as this is my first car and i have never dealt with oil. Anyway. I have a swapped d16z6 with an auto. I here a ticking noise when i'm accelerating so I think im needing a valve adjustment. Would that cause an oil leak? The leaking didn't start untill about a week and a half ago. It was leaking and left a couple large spots on my driveway. Then the leaking died down a little but its still leaking. After driving today i looked under the car and sure enough its leaking and seems to be dripping off in different areas. I recently took my valve cover off and re painted it. But it was leaki ng before that was done. Its not leaking as much as it was before i did this so i don't think i have a bad seal but i really don't know as im new to all this. When it was leaking allot i checked the oil and it was where its suppost to be checked it last night and its a little bit under where its suppost to be. What can i do to figure out where its leaking? I'd like to fix the problem my self if possible to learn.

Is it engine oil or transmission fluid or power steering fluid?

Clean the engine then closely monitor locations where fresh oil first appears.

Most commons places for engine oil leaks -- distributor, VTEC solenoid, valve cover, oil pan.

You should probably get a new valve cover gasket SET. Clean the engine bay as stated above, and look for fresh leaks.

If its leaving a puddle of oil it's probably the oil pan gasket. The only way the solenoid valve cover and dizzy will leak is when it's running. Check your oil pan gasket. And if it's trans fluid it's prob axle seal check those too

If i were you I'd replace all of these gaskets and seals anyway, they all will leak overtime especially on a older high mileage d-series

Most of the gaskets and seals where replaced during the swap about 2-3 months ago. Anyway I have a Gasket. Took everything off i needed to get to the oil pan. Now i have fun into a problem. The pan is free from all bolts and i can wiggle it and what not. But the smaller part of the oil pan is stuck under the engine basically. Its under a smaller black piece and i cant unbolt this peice as its between the engine and the top of the oil pan. Does this mean i need to undo the engine mount and lift the engine up a little or is there an easyer way to do thid? im only working with 4 jack stands and a smaller jack.

Did you un-bolt your torque converter cover and un-bolt the bolts hidden under there aswell?

No i have not. Not really too sure what that is(still learning). All i have taken off is the down pipe, 2 little black axles. and all the bolts freeing up the oil pan. Most likley thats what its stuck on. Im done for the day but how do i unbolt this and where is it located?
