Default D16Y8 Running Rich Any ideas???

my d16y8 is putting out black smoke Any ideas on what makes them run rich and how to fix it..

Wrong, Oil is blue, Unburned gasoline is black.

sounds like you just need to retune the ecu

The car is stock it has an intake, exhaust and header just the bolt ons but how would i re-tune the ecu?

Is the CEL ON?

Start by checking for an exhaust leak around or upstream of the primary O2 sensor.

my sohc zc was running rich...was getting 11 mpg went had it tuned ran great till i sprayed it

you don't need a retune or a tune if your running a stock computer when is it running rich ie; blowing black smoke, are you doing it when you hit vtec or high rpms? most likely your vavle seals are shot or any cel's?
