95 delsol overheating an loss of power
i have a 95 civic delsol 1.5 liter not a vtec. i have had it sence about march it didnt start to give me problems till about sept. it started over heating when i was driveing it. i replaced the radiator cause it had a crack in it, the thermostat, an the fan switch cause the fan was not comeing on. it ran fine then near the end of sept i started noticeing loss of power turns out the timein belt streched an skipped a tooth i replaced the timein belt an the water pump an have the timein perfectly set. an it still kinda stuttered a lil i had someone tell me about changeing the fuel pump so i did an it ran fine till yesterday its started to have lack of power again if i start it it runs fine but when i put it in gear it stutters a lil an then drives fine then when i sit at a light or stop sign it does the same thing an then it also started to over heat again is there anyone out there that could possibly know whats wrong with it cause i lost all hope on the car an im about to sell it for as much as i can get on it

how old are the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor?
did you bleed the air out of the coolant system? that could cause it to oveheat.
are you loosing coolant?
How does the oil look?

Re: (b16_sol_707)
the spark plugs are brand new the wires an rotor button an distributor car are probably due for a change i tried releaseing the pressure from the valve last night to see if it would change anything an it didnt. um the oil looks fine an i dont see any coolant leaking. an there is something im also stumped on is that there is white smoke comeing out of the radiator an the overflow tank. an a thick white exuast it also looks like the fan has stopped comeing on. an i had someone check it for me an they think its the coolant fan relay. i havent changed that yet i cant find it anywhere but the honda dealer ship for like $44. an there is still loss off power

Re: (delsol's suck!)
Your engine may have been damaged when the timing belt slipped. Did you have compression and leak down tests done after installing the new timing belt? In addition, the white smoke suggests that the head or head gasket is also blown. If I am correct, you'd be best off purchasing a replacement engine and installing it.
