Y8 manifold gasket. You don't need the Y8 TB.

Make sure you get an AUTOMATIC so you don't have IACV holes (your Y7 TB already has a built in IACV and you can use that)

Also, if you want to get a 96-98 y8 the 99-00 Y8s had air injection.

Or vise versa if you have a 99-00 get a 99-00 Y8 manifold. (air injection)

</TD></TR></TABLE>

The 99-00 y7's don't have air injection so you want a 96-98 AT y8 manifold.

Also the y7 manifold isnt the reason your motor isn't fast. Its the transmission. The Y7 in hatchbacks I believe have a 3.722 final drive compared to the 4.058 in sedans and coupes. I'd recommend a D16Z6 or D16Y8 transmission...the increase in performance and acceleration is staggering.

96-00
EX
1st-----3.250
2nd-----1.900
3rd-----1.250
4th-----0.909
5th-----0.702
Final Drive---4.250

96-00
CX/DX/LX
1st-----3.250
2nd-----1.762
3rd-----1.172
4th-----0.909
5th-----0.702
Final Drive---4.058 (3.722 in hatchbacks)

I SAID 3.750 I MEANT 3.722 SORRY

I have heard of people dropping a full second off their 1/4 with just a y8 tranny. I swapped my y7 for a y8 tranny and it makes a pretty big difference. Third is where I noticed it most.

Or if you have time and money. Get the Y8 and drop in a LSD and a 4.9 Final drive
