D16Y8 Head to D16Y7 swap?
Alright I want the VTEC Head Swap and I am going to turbo it.
Is there a DOHC Head that will bolt on to the D16Y7 bottom end?
Anybody have any info on if it will work what is needed, and if there is a DOHC head that will fit.
Also is the gasket/bolt pattern the same for the intake on both the D16Y7 and the D16Y8?
I did alot of searching and not alot of usefull info.. so any links and all information will be appreciated.
Thank you

Re: D16Y8 Head to D16Y7 swap? (clockstick)
y7 to y8 head swap is a direct swap just gotta wire Vtec and plug the cruise control vacum line.
You will need a y8 headgasket and unplug the oil cap on the block before you install the head. besure you reuse your Y7 throttle body as well
DOHC on y7 bottom end = dumb question.

Re: D16Y8 Head to D16Y7 swap? (SkAnK_aSS_bRyAn)
why would DOHC be a dumb question on a D16Y7 Bottom End? The D16A from the Acura Integra 86-89 is a D series Block would this not work or would the gains not be worth it compared to the D16Y8 swap?
Also how about an aftermarket Intake plenum for a D16Y8 fit on a D16Y7 ?
Thanks Again.
